VOLOW, George
Former director of Utica State Hospital, on Tuesday, September 7, 1999, in West Palm Beach, Florida. George Volow, beloved husband of the late Anita Volow. Loving father and father-in-law of Michael and Becci, and Lisa and Harvey Golombek. Dear brother of Frances Berson. Devoted grandfather of Ilan, Jamie and Tali, and Eric and Adina, and great-grandfather of Noam Chaim. At Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Avenue West (1 block west of Dufferin Street), for service on Friday, September 10 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Driltzer Society section of Dawes Road Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Baycrest Centre for Geriatric Care (416) 785-2875.

I remember going to the Volow's residence on the State Hospital grounds for musical evenings when I was a teenager.
My parents were both avid musicians, as was George, and they would get together to play chamber music. He was a big big personality, as was Anita. Fond memories
