JOHN OF JERUSALEM CANADIAN FORCES DECORATION QUEEN'S SILVER JUBILEE MEDAL QUEEN'S GOLDEN JUBILEE MEDAL 125TH ANNIVERSARY OF CONFEDERATION MEDAL DR. GERALD MICHAEL FITZGIBBON It is with great sadness that the FitzGibbon family announces that after a long illness, Dr. Gerald Michael FitzGibbon 'Fitz' died with family by his side, Thursday, August 21, 2008 at the age of 81 years. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, of almost 60 years, Maud 'Molly', his two loving daughters Gillian (John Peacock) and Hilary (Claude Charron) and his loved and cherished only grandson Nicholas Pacella. Gerald's medical career spanned 37 years, 28 years as Director, Cardio-Pulmonary Unit, National Defence Medical Center. Throughout his life, Dr. FitzGibbon touched, saved and shaped many lives, leaving a charming and well respected impression. Friends and colleagues are invited to a celebration of Gerald's life on Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008 at 2 p.m. to be held at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa.
