HARRISON, Gerald Leigh Passed away July 11th, 2004, in Oakville after a brief but courageous battle. Gerry was born July 18th, 1932 in Ottawa, son of Marjorie and Harry Harrison. He is survived by his wife Eileen (nee McArthur), and sons and daughters-in- law, Chris and Carolyn (Ryan), Jim and Melinda (Copp), Richard and Nancy (Loos). Blessed with 9 grandchildren; Ryan Michael, Robert William, Samuel McArthur, Emily Elizabeth, Stephanie Leigh, Geoffrey Copp, Annie Melinda, Brian Gerald, and Megan Eileen. Survived by brothers Keith (Roberta), Gordon (Colleen) of Ottawa and many nieces and nephews. Gerry lived most of his adult life in Sarnia and served his community in many roles including President of the Sarnia Lions Club. On retirement Gerry moved to Oakville where he carried on his community involvement at the Colbourne Senior Centre where he developed many friendships and will be remembered fondly. He enjoyed life his way, always an independent spirit. Special thanks to Dr. G. Southey, Dr. M. Found and the nursing staff at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital as well as Dr. Dhanani, Dr. Mintz, Dr. Rosso, and the staff at Trillium Health Centre in Mississauga and Dr. Laperriere and staff at Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto. ComCare nursing provided invaluable assistance to the family enabling Gerry to live at home with dignity. www.braintumour.ca). Gerry will be resting at Oakview Funeral Home, 56 Lakeshore Rd. W., Oakville. Visitation Thursday, July 15th from 7-9 with services Friday, July 16th at 11 a.m.
