Gerard Robert Conway BLINK

1963 - 2024 We miss our dear friend, Gerard, who passed away unexpectedly on February 14, 2024, at the age of 60. Gerard was a dynamic, gregarious and witty character, always keen to share and debate his geo-political views. As the president of the York University Student Council in the mid-'80s, he pushed for changes that would benefit all students for years to come. He followed a career in stock photography and himself became an avid photographer. An early adopter of Facebook, he expanded his connections worldwide, meeting new people and making new friends. Gerard faced a number of health concerns throughout his adult life, including the impact of Multiple Sclerosis. Despite these challenges, Gerard remained positive and optimistic. Ever loyal to his friends, Gerard was the chief organizer for his close group of friends who often gathered for weekends in Muskoka, never allowing his personal difficulties to interfere with our collective enjoyment. He will be missed greatly by us all.
