GERHARDT HEINKE Obituary
Dr. Gerhardt William Rudolph Heinke, known to family, friends, colleagues, and students as Gary, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a remarkable legacy as an engineer, educator, mentor, and beloved family man. He was born on December 11, 1932, in Kronenberg, Austria, and passed on February 18, 2026, in Victoria, British Columbia. He leaves behind his wife, Karlene; his two children, Elizabeth and Richard; and a large loving extended family.
