SERVOS, Gertrude Irene (nee Giffen) May 10, 1921 - February 22, 2016
It is with great sadness that the Servos family announces the passing of Gertrude Irene Servos (nee Giffen), best known as Irene to her family and friends, on February 22, 2016 at North York General Hospital in Toronto, Ontario. Cherished mother of Daniel (Susanna) Servos and mother-in-law of Susan Holland, beloved grandma of Jordan (Katherine), Jeffrey (Luz), Mitchell and Alexandra, proud great-grandma of Jordan and Jaycee and dear Auntie Irene to all her nieces and nephews. Irene is predeceased by her parents Gertrude Giffen (nee Madden) and Robert Giffen, her husband of 25 years Robert A. Servos, daughter, Mary Lou Sullivan and son, Peter Servos. She will be remembered for her caring, love, humour, generosity, strength and fierce independence throughout her long and spirited life. A Funeral Mass and Memorial Reception will be held at Saint Gabriel's Passionist Parish, 670 Sheppard Ave. E. (east of Bayview Ave), 416-221-8866, on Friday March 4, 2016 at 10:00am.
