It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our vibrant and beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Gladys (Peggy) Hull on Sunday, July 13, 2025. Surrounded by her family Peggy passed away peacefully, just shy of her 94th birthday leaving behind a legacy of love, quiet strength, and gentle grace that touched everyone who knew her. Born and raised in Toronto, Peggy graduated from Branksome Hall in 1950 and later attended OCAD University to pursue her keen sense of style and passion for interior design. Summers were spent on North Bohemia Island in Muskoka her entire life. She treasured these times on the island visiting with relatives and socializing with extended family. In the winter months she would escape the cold to her home in Florida. During her lifetime she built an impressive collection of porcelain plates, the coveted memories of her travels and a hobby she loved as much as retrieving antique bottles on the island and from Lake Rosseau. She loved surrounding herself with endless photographs of her family proudly displaying each generation with an admiring smile and a story to tell. Peggy is predeceased by her parents, Joseph William and Margaret Seagram; brother Richard Seagram and sister-in-law Catherine, brother Bill Seagram and brother-in-law Rodney Hull (Anne). As the proud and devoted mother of four children she shared with Toby Hull - David (Marilyn), Patti (Ross), Geoffrey (Sue) and Peter (PJ) and adoring grandmother to 12 – Jamie (Julia), Sarah (Josh), Gillian (Gabe) and Thomas (Lauren); Alex (Jake), Matthew (Emily); Cody, Brooklyn, Tyler; Seagram, Sloane and Sutton great grandmother to 9 – Logan, Margot, Brody, J.J.; Win and Harper; Charlie and Lily; and August. A fun and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews who will always be remembered. Peggy adored and cherished family. Special friends Loretta Rogers, Pat DeMara and Ruth "Becky" Caplan held a very important place in her heart with many years of fun and laughter. As the matriarch she was the foundation of our family and unconditionally adored and supported us all. Her effervescent personality and zest for life captured the attention of everyone in a room with her beautiful smile, twinkling blue eyes and thunderous laugh always bringing a smile to everyone she met. A vivacious and gracious soul, she leaves us with her legacy of family, love, and light. Thank you to the Sagecare staff for their kindness and continuous care of our mother. A special and loving thank you to Ofelia, her devoted, patient and compassionate caregiver who never left her side for the last 10 years of her life. A private funeral service and celebration of life for family and friends who would like to pay tribute to Peggy will be held at the Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles Newbigging Chapel, 1403 Bayview Ave. (south of Davisville), Toronto, on Saturday, July 19th at 11:00 a.m. Donations in her memory can be made to a
charity of choice, in lieu of flowers. Condolences may be forwarded through
