GLENN McGREGOR DAVIS

GLENN McGREGOR DAVIS obituary

GLENN DAVIS Obituary

Peacefully, on March 20, 2025, in his 74th year. Mourned by his loving wife, Brigitte Bogar, and their daughter, Victoria, who cared for him to the end. Survived by his former spouse, Heather, and their daughter, Shannon; sister, Joanne; and large extended family. Predeceased by his parents, Merritt and Edith Davis. A graduate of University of Toronto (B.Sc.) and Queens University (LL.B.), Glenn greatly enjoyed multiple, overlapping careers in the law and related fields helping clients build practical plans that addressed what was important to them. In 2022, he retired from active business to focus on family, friends, and paying forward his many, many blessings through various Toronto service organizations and neighbourhood acts of charity. Glenn's sharp intellect, quick wit, and unique sense of humour made every conversation with him one to remember. He was a gifted pianist and shared his love for music both at home, where holiday get-togethers inevitably became spirited singalongs, and in front of larger audiences as an accompanist to Brigitte's vocal performances. When asked how things were going, Glenn often quoted the succinct wisdom of idol Wolfe D. Goodman, QC: "Much to be grateful for." We are grateful to have had him with us as long as we did. A Celebration of Glenn's life will be held at The Danish Lutheran Church, 72 Finch Avenue West, Toronto, on April 5th, at 1.00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider an online donation to Camp Scugog (www.campscugog.org/glenn-davis).

Glenn and I met over 30 years ago in our "trust company days" and carried on our friendship through our volunteer work at the OBA and within the insurance community. He was a charming and witty raconteur, with an incisive way of looking at problem-solving. I will miss our conversations and trading of puns. To Brigitte, Victoria, Shannon, and everyone who loved him: May your memories of the laughter, love, and good times that you shared with Glenn be ever bright.

My deepest condolences to you and your family. I met Glenn 30 years ago at National Trust. Our paths would cross from time to time. And when it did cross he would make jokes and would always make me laugh. He was a very kind and witty man. May he rest in peace. I am sure he´s smiling over your family from heaven.
