Gloria WALKER

GLORIA MAUREEN WALKER (Zakaib, neé Turriff) September 18, 1928 - December 14, 2021 Gloria passed away peacefully at Michael Garron Hospital in Toronto at the age of 93. Gloria was born in Métis-Sur-Mer, Quebec. After raising three children in Montreal, she had a successful career as store manager for Toy World in Place Ville Marie, later becoming regional supervisor for stores in Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto. She also lived in Cumberland and Grimsby, Ontario before moving to Toronto. Gloria is predeceased by former husbands Raymond Zakaib and Richard Walker. She is survived by sons Chuck Zakaib (Debbie Gallagher), Derek Zakaib (Dawn Iehstoseranónnha Setford), and Doug Zakaib; grandchildren Susan Zakaib (Eoghan McCloskey), Scott Zakaib (Amélie Matte), and Valerie Lampe (Tyler); and great-grandchildren Wyatt, Sloane and Sienna Lampe. The family would like to thank the staff at Leaside Retirement Residence, as well as those in the palliative care ward at Michael Garron Hospital.
