Gordon Burnham SAVAGE

SAVAGE, Gordon Burnham
(1947-2015)

It is with sorrow that we announce
Gordon's death in hospital in
Victoria, BC on Monday, November
2, 2015. Gordon was the devoted
partner of Laura L. Lang and they
made their home together on
Saltspring Island. He was the much
loved brother of Diana Savage of
Calgary, AB and of Barbara Cassidy
of Parksville, BC;and uncle to
Elizabeth, Margot, Alexandra,
Andrew and their families.
   Gordon was born in Montreal and
attended Bishop's College School,
Lower Canada College, and McGill
University. He spent his working life
in the financial business, first in
Montreal and later in Toronto where
he and a partner founded Altus
Securities. His fascination with the
stockmarket - its ups and its downs -
never wavered. The gold and silver
markets were particular favourites in
his later years.
   Gordon was a colourful individual
who marched to his own drummer
and we will deeply miss his fine
intellect and especially his sense of
humour. We will also keep an eye on
the gold and silver market for him!
May he rest in peace.
