Well known Canadian Entertainer, Gordie Tapp passed away peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at the age of 94. Survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Helen. Dear father of the late Barbara (Alan) Hails, Kate Tapp Mock (Edward), Joan Tapp-Leonard (Frank), and Jeffery (Bernadette) Tapp. Cherished grandfather to Jennifer Burn, Stephanie Asmussen, Brad Hails, Derek and Craig Mock, Joshua and Joel Walker, Kim, Kristie, Matt, and Ashley Tapp. Loving great-grandfather of 15. Gordie will be dearly missed by extended family and friends. Gordie was a recipient of the Order of Canada, Order of Ontario, and Order of Saskatchewan. A Memorial Gathering will take place at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Friday, December 30, 2016 from 3-6 p.m. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations to Joseph Brant Hospital would be greatly appreciated. www.smithsfh.com
