GRAHAM C.A. LEGGAT
1960-2011 On August 25th, 2011 we lost our beloved son, Graham, 51 years old. He died peacefully in his home in San Francisco, California after a courageous battle with cancer. Graham was the son of former Scottish International soccer star and TV commentator Graham Leggat and his wife Marilyn. Graham Jr. attended Appleby College, Oakville and was head boy of the school in his senior year, 1978. During those years he was a star athlete but most enjoyed playing his favourite game rugby. He also played soccer on many winning teams with the Chinguacousy soccer organization. He gained his undergraduate degree at Stanford University, California in English and American Studies and earned a Masters Degree in Creative Writing from Syracuse University, New York. After working at MOMA, Manhattan and the New York Film Society of Lincoln Centre, Graham spent the last six years of his life as Executive Director of the San Francisco Film Society. Graham is survived by his children, Vhary, Isabelle and William, his sister Karen Alexandra Leggat (Salvatore Difalco), his former wife Lillian King Heard, his devoted partner Diana Chiawen Lee and his loving parents Graham and Marilyn Leggat.
