STEWART, Graham
Born Ellen Evelyn Graham Stewart in Winnipeg on December 12, 1911, died October 14, 2001 in Toronto. Graham pursued a career in social work and her special devotion to children and their particular needs distinguished her professional philosophy, particularly in the area of adoption of older children. During her last months she was sustained by family, friends and the staff at Christie Gardens whose devotion was a significant comfort to her. She is survived by her elder brother Gordon in Vancouver and sister-in-law Christine in Winnipeg and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Evelyn Jordon Gill and Frank Shirley Stewart, brothers Sandy and Jack and sisters-in-law Fredl and Pauline. In honour of Graham's gracious and kind contributions to our lives a memorial gathering of friends will be held at a future date.
