(September 22, 1964 – September 10, 2025). We are devastated to announce the death of Gregory Glenn Brown. Greg died on September 10th, after several years fighting pancreatic cancer. He will be deeply missed by his many friends and his family, but most especially his two sons, Alexander and Michael. He is also survived by his brother, Lindsay; and sister, Andrea (Gerard Yun). Greg was born in Halifax to Glenn Harry Brown and Myrna Isabel Brown (née Everett). Raised in a military family, he grew up in Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Europe. After graduating from Carleton University and Algonquin College in Ottawa, he moved to Toronto and settled in the Beach. Greg was a writer and a poet. He worked for more than 30 years in the advertising industry as a creative, a copy writer, and a medical writer. The only one of his siblings to inherit his father's athleticism, he played many sports, notably tennis and hockey. He liked to golf and run, but he never saw the point of hiking. Greg is gone far too soon. He knew the jig was up, but he was not quite ready. He had plans to re-read Dostoyevsky. There were dinner parties to host, debates to be had, and so much more music to listen to. Most importantly, he wanted more time with his two cherished sons. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no visitation, and a cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the
Canadian Cancer Society.
