Guy LEGER Obituary
Guy Joseph Léger April 26, 1937 - November 3, 2023 Born in Montreal to Lucile and Lucien Léger. Predeceased by his wife, Lois (Shanahan) Léger. Loving Father to Rev. Fr. Larry Léger, Chris (Maria Lockhart) Léger, and Julie (Ian) Tremblay. Proud grandfather to Gabriel and Michael. Guy was a husband, father, uncle, educator, sailor, cottager, golfer, traveller, and a man of faith. A Superintendent of Education, he was a well-respected leader of Senior Staff with the Metro Separate School Board (MSSB later the TCDSB), overseeing the introduction computers into classrooms. Guy lived and practiced his Catholic faith and knew it was time to 'go home' to God. For condolences, please visit: catholic-cemeteries.ca. Visitation at Holy Cross Funeral Home, Thornhill, on Tuesday, November 7th from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Visitation at St. Mary's, Barrie, on Wednesday, November 8th from 9:30 a.m. until Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.
