Guy O'SULLIVAN Obituary

O'SULLIVAN, Guy Nicholas 1967-2017

Guy died on Saturday, April 8th, 2017 at the age of 49. He leaves behind his three beautiful teenage girls, Rosie, Molly and Isla and their big, hairy four-legged buddy Oscar. He'll be terribly missed by Cheryl, the girls' Mom, and his devoted, loving girlfriend Alison Currie, and her two children Declan and Isla. Our thoughts are with Alison, who Guy was looking forward to spending his life with. She did so much for him in his last few months.

Guy is survived by his mother Elaine, his sisters Vikki (Andy) and Zoe, and nieces Harriet and Evie. They live in Birmingham, England where Guy was born and raised. It was there his career in journalism began in newspapers. He moved into television with the BBC before moving to Canada and eventually founding Proper Television in Toronto in 2004. The company's best known for making Canada's Worst Driver, Storage Wars Canada and, most recently, Masterchef Canada.

On both sides of the Atlantic, countless friends and colleagues are grieving for Guy. They're treasuring their memories of him, and will miss him beyond measure. Everyone who knew him is in complete agreement that he was the funniest, cleverest, clumsiest genius they've been privileged to know.

He loved his work and was quite brilliant at it. But most of all he loved his girls, and they will forever love him back. Like most Dads he was a source of some embarrassment and enormous pride. They'll cherish all the joy, laughter and world famous spaghetti bolognese he gave them.

A celebration of Guy's life will be held at TURNER AND PORTER 'PEEL' CHAPEL, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga on Saturday, April 22nd at 11am.

There will be visitation on April 21st from 2-4pm and 6-9pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Guy can be made to sketch.ca.

'SKETCH creates opportunities for young people (ages 16 to 29) living street involved, homeless or otherwise on the margins, to experience the transformative power of the arts; to build leadership and economic self-sufficiency in the arts; and to cultivate social and environmental change through the arts.'
