CRAWFORD, Hamish
Peacefully, as the sun was rising
on Monday June 2, 2014 at the
age of 88.
Born in Kent, England, beloved
husband and soul mate for 51
years to Maureen (nee Shotton)
Much loved and proud father of
Sally (Mike), James (Renate) and
Adrienne (Tom). Cherished
grandfather of Colin, James,
Bryan, Stephanie, Tyler and
Sarah. Adored eldest brother of
Hugh, Iain (deceased), Robin
(deceased), Colin (deceased),
Moira, and Elspeth, all of
England. Decorated WWII Royal
Navy Veteran. Retired 37-year
employee of CIBC. Award-
winning 22-year volunteer at
Royal Botanical Gardens
Auxiliary. Long time member
and dedicated volunteer at St
Bride's Church in Clarkson,
Ontario. Hamish was a true
gentleman: kind, caring, loyal
and humble. To know him was
to love him. A celebration of his
life will be held on Friday, June
20th at 11:00 a.m. at the Church
of St. Bride's, 1516 Clarkson Rd.,
Mississauga. The family wishes
to thank the wonderful staff and
volunteers at Ian Anderson
House Hospice for their
kindness, sincere thoughtfulness
and tender care. In lieu of
flowers, memorial donations
may be made to Ian Anderson
House, Royal Botanical Gardens,
or Church of St. Bride's.
