Hans ABROMEIT Obituary

PROF. DR. HANS GÜNTHER ABROMEIT It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Prof. Dr. Hans Günther Abromeit, Knight Commander of the Order of St. Gregory, and former Austrian Consul General on Monday, September 24, 2018 at the age of 90. Hans Günther is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Anna Alexandra; his sons, Bernd and Henrick; daughters- in-law, Karilla and Lisa; and grandchildren, Philipp, Patrick, Gloria, Alyssa and Ethan. Born in Berlin in 1927, Hans Günther was a distinguished professor, an accomplished economist, and a great contributor to the Canadian real estate community as well as numerous philanthropic causes. He was a mentor whose love of humanity knew no limits. A Mass celebrating Hans Günther's life will be held on Saturday, October 6 at 9:30 a.m. in St. Michael's Cathedral Basilica, 65 Bond Street, Toronto. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sunnybrook Foundation in support of the excellent and dedicated services of Sunnybrook Hospital are welcome.

One of the greatest men (employer) I have ever known. My wife Susanne and I started to work for the Abromeit's on July 2, 1998 and we worked in their home for almost 5 years. We learned so much about them, Canada and ourselves and we will be internally thankful for that. Rest in peace and may your memory be a blessing for everyone you have touched.
