Dear Wendy, Suzanne, and Family,
Our heartfelt condolences go out to you and your family during this difficult time. Hal was a remarkable individual who truly enjoyed life to the fullest. He was not only a loving husband and caring father, but also a proud grandfather who cherished every moment with his family.
Whenever we had the pleasure of seeing Hal, he always had a smile on his face, a captivating story to share (often about golf), and a heartfelt account of a family member he was proud of. The world has lost an amazing man, but heaven has gained an angel.
We find comfort in the thought that Hal and Justin are together now, watching over all of you with immense pride.
Please know that we are thinking of you all during this time.
With deepest sympathy,
Jeff, Julie, Jacob, Ryan, and Emma Utter

Hal was a good friend. We played a great many rounds of golf together at Thornhill. Hal owned one of those sweet golf swings that look so effortless and easy. A lover of nature, he would identify bird calls as we walked the course. I'll miss the weekend golf games with Hal, when Debbie and I would join Hal and Wendy, then sit on the patio to grab a refreshment and bask in the sunshine. Rest easy my friend.
