On Sunday, November 14, 2004 at home. Dr. Harold J. Hoffman, beloved husband of JoAnn. Loving father and father-in-law of Richard, Andrew and Leslie, Katie and Jordy. Much loved grandfather of Matthew, Daniel, Lauren, Allison, Spencer, and Holly. Dear brother of Lorraine Allan. Our heartfelt appreciation and love to Eulalio Hermosa, Menaflor Petate, and Bella De La Cruz. At Holy Blossom Temple, 1950 Bathurst Street (Bathurst south of Eglinton) for service on Tuesday, November 16, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Interment Holy Blossom Temple section of Pardes Shalom Cemetery. Shiva 145 Cumberland Street Suite 607, shiva visits from 2:00 p.m. daily with shiva concluding Friday at 3:00 p.m. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Sick Kids Foundation Harold J. I met Dr Hoffman 41 years ago. Frightened. A very young doctor from India. I had diagnosed Lambdoid synostosis on my first born a son. He was just 3 months old. The kindness, grace and respect Dr Hoffman gave me I carried with me. He operated with minimal delay and with great skill.
I carried that example for years in my own career.
Today I am sitting in the same hallways with my new grandchild having diagnosed the same and reminded of him. With tears in my eyes.

My heart felt condolences to the family of Dr. H. Hoffman my hero. I met him 51 years ago at sick kids hospital. My son Ade Tokunbo was born with spina bifida. Dr. Hoffman performed his operation immediately. He was like a father to me. That was my first child at the age of twenty three. Now my son will be fifty-one on the thirtieth of January walking,talking, and is working. Dr. Hoffman assured me that he will do everything to save my son's life. Which he did after numerous operations. Praise God, and thanks to Dr. H Hoffman. Gone but never will be forgotten.
