Truly sadden and heartbroken to hear of Dr. Kimelman's passing. Our condolences to his beautiful family and all those that had the pleasure of knowing him. I was born into his caring hands and delivered me to my parents on January 29, 1975 and then delivered my two brothers a few years later. I had visited a family member in the hospital shortly before.his passing and met him in the waiting room. He was the attending physician and as soon as I gave my last name he surprisingly remembered my parents and us as small children now in our 40's and by this my mother had recently passed. It was a humbling conversation to say the least. Dr Kimelman will be missed dearly. The memories and his kindness will live on...The Barran Family

Dearest Linda and Family... I used to be your Mum, Dora Reznick's chiropodist at the former North York Branson Hospital...and I also looked after Harold's Dad...He was adored by my late husband, Albert Tucker and his sister, Kathy...whom were Harold's patients from when he started his practice... I will ALWAYS remember that he was there for me when I was caregiving for Al..to the end..and when I was in my own medical crisis, I always remember him saying, as I saw him on a weekly basis, then..."It WILL get better..." I had moved closer to Kitchener in 2012, to look after my own mother, who just passed, at age 97 years.. I didn't know about Doc Kimelman until today, when I sought to look him up, online, to see if he was still practising... He was indeed, one of a kind...
...a true Blessing for all that knew him...and he will always live on in our memories!!

Harold wasn't only my doctor, he was my friend for over 45 years. A really great, salt of the earth kind of guy. I hope he's smiling up there with Marnie. I will always miss him very much.

Very sorry to read the news about my family doctor. He understood what people were going through and we were not just a number in his waiting room. He always had time to talk with you about your day or about life in general. There will never be another doctor like him. Rest easy doc.

I am in a state of shock and total disbelief.....
I met Dr.Kimelman 25 years ago when we moved to Madawaska Avenue and he became my doctor at 15. I can’t say enough about the endless conversations we had about life and the state of world affairs and our combined hope that peace would find its way into all of humanity...... he loved and spoke about his grandchildren often.
I will miss him....dearly.
Every time I saw him and asked ‘how are you?’ He would respond with a smile followed by ‘well we’re still here, how are you?’. The last time we exchanged those words were on August 28th at the clinic where he said he was going to move towards retirement but would let us know when he was ready so we could prepare......
I don’t want to believe he is gone.
He was an outstanding physician, but more than that he was a wonderful human being.
When I lost my brother, also a patient of his, in 2004 at the age of 26...he for obvious reasons, understood the pain and guided me through the emptiness.
How can one truly know when it’s going to be the last time???
I’m so grateful for having had the opportunity to be in his presence.

My condolences to the entire Kimelman family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dr. Kimelman was the first person to meet me in my life, he delivered me when I was born in September 1977 and was my Doctor until I was in my 20’s but I would go see him once in awhile to say hi. My mom and brother were still his patients when he passed. I feel so very sad for this loss. He was such a kind and wonderful doctor and I am sending my heartfelt condolences to his family members and friends.

I have known Dr Kimmelman since I was a child and I am no longer a child, reaching retirement age last year. Dr Kimmelman was my father’s doctor when he was first starting his practice. What I remember now and always will, is Dr Kimmelman coming to the house every evening for several weeks to check on my dad when he was ill. I never thought anything of it at the time, or over the years. But that is who he was, and in every office visit I had with him. So sad to hear of his passing, such a good soul.

I am very saddened and shocked at hearing of the passing away of Dr. Kimelman. He was my doctor while I was living in Toronto and continued to be my parents physician for over 30 years. He was very caring and compassionate. We recently connected over the telephone after many years and I am truely grateful I had the opportunity to speak with him personally and thank him for the exemplary care he provided to my mother and father. Rest in eternal peace Dr. Kimelman

I am very saddened to hear of Harold’s passing .My deepest sympathies go out to Linda, Jason and Marc. We were their neighbours for many years on Olean Court in Willowdale . On my last visit taking mom to see him , we both reminisced of those earlier years and we both talked about how we would pass by our houses and take a glimpse . We were lucky to meet the whole family on both sides . Terrific , warm and genuine people . Harold was my mother’s physician since 1972 as he had just received his medical degree . He was a very caring physician and a great person with enthusiasm and great spirit . To sum it up he was calm , cool and collective always . My nuclear family who took mom to her appointments always admired him . We are all shocked of his sudden passing . I can only pray and offer solace knowing that he will reunite with Marnie his beautiful daughter . May his soul rest in peace.

An incredibly kind, thoughtful, empathetic and conscientious individual who only spoke positively of others. Shocking to hear he passed away so suddenly. He still had so much to offer and so much of life to live as a father, husband and doctor. Very sad. He will be sorely missed. Our deepest condolences.
