We have just learned of dear Dr. Abramson's passing and would like to express our condolences to his family, belatedly. Dr. Abramson was our Mother's cardiologist at NYGH for many years; he was always compassionate, kind and gentle with her as he gently "installed" the "octopus" (i.e. heart monitor) on each visit to his Bayview/Earl Bales Park clinic. Under his care and that of his very able colleagues, our Mother made it to her 94th year, having been a patient of Dr. Abramson's for more than 20 years. What an inspiring man he was and such an inspiration to all. May the Lord comfort you all as you mourn his loss but celebrate his heroic life as well.... Mary Noble and Gail Noble Deacon and family.
P.S. Beth, he spoke very highly of his amazing daughter also a cardiologist....i.e. you. of whom he was very proud.
