Heather WALKER Obituary
It is with great sorrow that the family of Heather Walker announces her passing on July 17, 2024. Heather will forever be loved and remembered by her daughters, Katie Walker (Conrad Druzeta) and Wendy Bonham; her grandson, Marko Druzeta, along with her other loving grandchildren; her sisters, Janet Sinclair, Lin Sinclair (Fred Nelson), Margaret Trudeau and Betsy Dening (Robin Dening); her beloved nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends. Heather was a person of love, loyalty, integrity and intelligence. We will miss her openness, generosity, wisdom and honesty. Educator and mentor, Heather was admired by both students and colleagues. An inspiring teacher, Heather was seconded to the Faculty of Education, at The University of British Columbia to co-lead its newly established Middle-Years Teacher Education Program. Nothing surpasses the limitless love, laughter and attention Heather showered freely on her family and friends. Heather's revered moral compass was a source of respect and growth by so many. She was a staunch believer in the power of debate, endlessly and graciously sharing her vast knowledge. "Always be curious and always ask questions". -Heather Walker
