(1933 - 2025) Heather left for a new adventure on August 13, 2025. She was born in Tauranga, New Zealand, and educated at Auckland University, where she met future husband, Dean, who would bring her on her first great adventure to Canada and married life. Heather had a passion for poetry and was known to recite verses from memory to the delight of family and friends. She was a history buff, with a special interest in anything "royal." She was an enthusiastic listener, gifted in the art of conversation… to speak with Heather was to feel heard. A kind and generous soul, a mother with unconditional love and a true friend to many, she will be greatly missed. Her children, Shelley, Jane and Adam were lucky to have her; and her grandchildren, Taylor, Evan, Ro-Che, Findlay and Isla loved her "to the moon and back." Heather remained independent, in her own condo to the very end. She did it her way! We are truly grateful for the tender care that Heather received at AB Smith Homestead House in Kingston, Ontario. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation (UHKF), directed to Providence Care Hospice or AB Smith Homestead Hospice (
www.uhkf.ca, or 1-866-549-5452) in Heather Walker's memory.
