(nee Puhm) August 6, 1943 - May 9, 2025 With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Heili Strawbridge (nee Puhm) on May 9, 2025, at the age of 81. Heili was born in Tallinn, Estonia, in 1943, and later made her way to Canada, settling in Toronto, where she spent her formative years. After completing university, she moved to Newfoundland, where she would spend more than 40 years building a life with purpose, compassion, and connection. In retirement, she relocated to Calgary, where she continued to cultivate friendships and got to spend time with her beloved grandchildren. Heili was a gifted psychologist, a devoted friend, and a loving mother and grandmother. She touched many lives with her empathy, quiet strength, and gentle wisdom. She found joy in gardening, classical music, and meaningful conversation. Her home was filled with flowers, music, and warmth. She leaves behind her loving daughters, Kristina (Oran) and Justine (Jim); and her cherished grandchildren, Curtis, Sophie, Max, and Finn. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at St. Peters Estonian Evangelical Lutheran Church of Toronto, followed by interment next to her late parents, Rev. Oskar and Meta Puhm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to PhilKids, a Calgary music program for kids (
