Helen Virginia Plouffe Bell
March 29, 1925 - April 30, 2013

Passed away peacefully after a long illness on Tuesday April 30, 2013. Predeceased by her loving husband Andrew Rodger in August of 2007, her mother Virginie Viger (1889-1967), her father Joseph Leon Plouffe (1885-1968), her sisters Lois (1911-1912), Doris Johnston (1912-2005), Delphine 'Babe' White (1917-1974), and her brothers Arthur (1914-1943) and Fl. Sgt Ernest 'Ernie' (1921-1943). Dear mother of Gail Virginia Catherine Bell-Sood (Raman Sood), Sharlene Ann Bell- Haussmann (Gregg Haussmann), Arnie Joseph Bell (Jackie Elizabeth Bowers), and Zane Andrew Arthur Bell. She is fondly remembered by her loving grandchildren and their families: Roshanara Sood, (London, England); Anand Alexandre Sood, (Tokyo, Japan); Marie Briffa, (Malta); Shannon Bell, (Atlanta, Georgia); Thomas Bell Buckland, (Tokyo, Japan); and in Ontario: Cedar Bell Bowers, Emma and Nadine Bell (and their mother Christine O'Keefe), and Mackenzie and Hanah Bell, Eric and Kyle Poole (and their mother Yvonne Fulton), as well as numerous nephews, nieces and many great grand children across Canada and around the world. Mourned, as well by her brother in-law John Barber Bell, of Alberta. The family would like to thank the staff of Leisureworld Etobicoke, and Preferred Health Care Services for their compassionate care of our mother. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A joint funeral Mass (Andrew & Helen) will be celebrated Sat. June 15 at 12:00 p.m. at St. John's R. C. Church, 203 Pine Street, Waubaushene, ON, L0K 2 C0 Interment will follow at St. John's cemetery. Afterward there will be a Reception in the parish hall for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements overseen by Newediuk Funeral Home, Rexdale and Sanderson Monument Co. Midland.
