Our heartfelt condolences to the Blumberg family. We only came to know today which has come as a shock, Henry was such a gentle soul and always willing to share advice, We had met both Marcia and Henry on our walk through the neighborhood, not too long ago and chatted and caught up with things. We pray that God gives strength to the family moving ahead. We pray that Henry's journey forward is Nirvana. God bless our prayers are with you.

My deepest condolences for the passing of Henry. I was all of a sudden thinking about him, googled him only to find out he has very recently passed. Many, many years ago, I worked briefly as legal secretary at Goodman and Carr, where I first met Henry. Later he became my lawyer at his own firm Gardiner Blumberg. My memories of Henry are of a compationate and kind human being , with a huge personal history, who deeply cared for the people around him. I am so sorry that he has passed on, sorry for all his loved ones. Wishing you much strength. Irene Spier

Henry was a huge supporter of and inspiration to the Law Faculty of the University of Cape Town. As Dean from 1999, I initiated a campaign to build an endowment for the Faculty, Henry as a proud alumnus immediately offered support in many ways. I visited him and Marcia in Toronto where they warmly introduced me to other alumni and friends, and they instituted a prize in their name at the Faculty, awarded annually since then. I salute and thank Henry for all that he did to support the University, he will be missed. Wishing Marcia and family long life.

I only knew him years ago, but I remember vividly his quiet presence and the gentle twinkle in his eyes. He was a wonderful father and the best of role models.
