Henry LAMMERS Obituary

HENRY JOHN LAMMERS (Hank) June 10,1937 - July 6, 2021 Peacefully in the arms of Rita, his beloved and cherished wife of 58 years, Hank entered into the presence of his Lord on July 6, 2021. Loving and proud father to his children Grace (Bryan), Henry (Nancy), David (Sabina), Paul (Annetta), Renee (Brandon) and Opa to his 14 grandchildren. Hank was the oldest in his family and is survived by his sisters Trudy Valk (Keith), Coby Lammers, Dianne Eggink (Harry), Irene Hulleman (Henk) and is predeceased by his sister Wilma Stronks (John) and brother George Lammers (Gertie). Hank will also be greatly missed by his extended family, friends, and colleagues. Born in Aalten, the Netherlands, Hank immigrated with his family to Canada at age 15 and soon after began working in the Egg Industry which became not only his career but his lifelong passion as an 'Egg Man'. Hank was well regarded in the Canadian Egg Industry as a man of great integrity, wisdom and strong business acumen. Hank was always a kind and generous man whose actions spoke louder than his words as evidenced by his willingness to give of his time and abilities volunteering at his church, as Chairman of the local Christian School Board, and numerous years with various roles at the Canadian Poultry & Egg Processors Council which honoured him with an Outstanding Contribution Award in 2019. Visitation on Monday, July 12 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. at Hope Bible Church, 500 Great Lakes Blvd., Oakville where a Celebration of Life service will also be held on Tuesday, July 13 at 2 p.m. Those wishing to attend in person, you will need to RSVP their attendance for both the visitation and service by calling 905-637-5233 between 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., or by emailing [email protected].
