ROWLAND, Hilary Jocelyn
(1935 - 2009) It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hilary Rowland (née Philipps) on May 2, 2009. She lived a full life - blessed with a loving family and dear friends. She will be affectionately remembered by the many people whose lives she touched. Her passion for life was infectious. Hilary will be fondly remembered by her husband Bob, her children - Michael (Joanne), Julie (John), Sara (Jean-Pierre), Susan (Ian) & Hugh (Kim), her grandchildren - Jennifer, Christopher, Jackie, Stefan, Emilie, Hugh, Sara, Nicolas, Allison & Gillian, and her siblings - Valerey, Rosemary (Charlie deceased) & Hugh (Kate). The family would like to thank her palliative care team through the Community Care Access Centre with a special thank you to her nurse Debbie Richards, her many physicians including Dr. Kim Morrison, Dr. Donald Norris, Dr. Yasmyn Rahim & Dr. Richard Brodie, her palliative care team at Providence Healthcare and her special friend & guide Neelam Bains. Friends and family may visit at the SHERRIN FUNERAL HOME, 873 Kingston Road, Toronto (between Victoria Park & Main Street) 416-698-2861 on Friday May 8th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Kingston Road United Church, 975 Kingston Road on Saturday May 9th at 11 a.m. with a luncheon reception to follow. In the evening, please join us for a party in the ballroom of the Delta Toronto East (Kennedy & 401) starting at 7:30 p.m. - bring your dancing shoes!
