Howard GOLDEN Obituary

HOWARD GOLDEN With heartfelt regret Howard Golden on Friday, July 23, 2021. Beloved husband of Frances Robins. Loving father of Bradley Golden (Lynne Eichenberg), and Lesley Golden (Gregory Weeden). Sadly missed by Terri Robins, Jaimie Robins (James Wortzman), Lucas, Zachary, and Jared Wortzman. Dear brother of the late Kent Golden and Janet Bloch. Howard was born and raised in Toronto. He trained at the Royal Ontario Military College and attended Harbord Collegiate where he was a good and popular student. He was on the cheerleading team where he met his first wife, Faye (née Firestone, deceased). Howard's career spanned 47 years in interior and industrial design and fabrication. He was highly regarded by his clients for his creativity, expert eye and attention to detail. He was influential and respected in his field. He was an original and innovative thinker, a man of his word, a gentleman, and lived by the Golden Rule. He was a private person and respected the privacy of others. An avid handyman and deft with his arsenal of tools, he shaped the world around him. He had a keen sense of aesthetics and an appreciation of art, landscape and architecture. Howard loved nature, canoeing in Muskoka under a full moon, reveling in the beauty of the landscape and the loons, appreciating the reflection of the fall leaves in the still waters. He and Frances enjoyed winters in their Florida home amid nature, alongside a winding canal, beautiful flora and fauna, and facing spectacular sunsets. He loved and was loved by those closest to him. He will be forever missed. A private graveside service was held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery on Sunday, July 25, 2021.
