MORTON, Howard Del
(July 10, 1951 - April 9, 2001). It is with profound sadness that we must announce the sudden passing of Howard Morton of Georgetown, son of the late George Miner Morton and the late Ruby Rachael Oldfield Morton. Howard leaves to mourn him, his children; Terry John, Laura Anne and Samantha Elizabeth all at home and their mom Debra Ann Slattery Morton, his brother James Frank Morton and sisters Evelyn Elizabeth Morton and Mary Jane Morton (Smith). Dear nephew of Val, Curry and Tom Morton and fondly remembered by many cousins. Dear uncle of Marlo and Koel Smith, brother-inlaw to Steve Smith and Judy Slattery and much loved son-in-law of Shirley Slattery. 'Special uncle' to Trevor and Michelle Davis and Rob and Dee Brownlee. Howard will be greatly missed by many friends and associates. His zest for life, his joy and quick wit and generosity of spirit will leave a gap in all of our lives. Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, north of Maple Avenue, Georgetown (905) 877-3631 on Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral and committal service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, April 12th, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. Cremation. In memory contributions to the Make a Wish Foundation (5801 Yonge Street, Unit 2, Toronto, Ontario M2M 3V3), would be appreciated.
