(April 8, 1932 – June 17, 2025) Peacefully passed away, surrounded by family. Life partner of Marlene (deceased) for 59 years; and father to daughters, Krista, Tara (deceased), Lisa, and son, Stephen. Howard will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Rebecca, Christopher, Taylor, Bailey, Spencer and Avery; and by his son-in-law, David; daughter-in-law, Tai; and many extended family and friends. Howard lived a full life and touched all who had the privilege of knowing him. All I can say is that Howard Pain enjoyed his extraordinary life because he contributed so much to others. I knew him as an antique collector. We were friends for over fifty years, travelling together to Pennsylvania and New England when he was preparing his book saluting Ontario furniture. I last saw him at his house in Collingwood about a week or so before he gave up the ghost. His goodbye was emotional. His friendship is eternal. I will miss him.
