Bert and I were classmates at U of T Law, articled together at Minden Pivnick and Gross, and shared some time Practicing out of the same office. He also participated at my wedding as an usher. Bert had a brilliant legal mind, and in those days , a great interest in automobiles. Bert, Barbara, and I had a very good social relationship as well.
I know that the last few years have been difficult, but the close family bond surely helped, please accept my condolences: L. Murray Eades

I have wonderful memories growing up with the High Street gang. Lots of parties at Bert's home, dancing with my boy friend, later my husband, Paul Baxter, in their basement. A wonderful time to grow up!

My late father Jack Pickett used to speak about Bert Stitt in our home often. He referred to him as a very kind man. My condolences on behalf of the Pickett family.

I am deeply saddened by hearing of Bert's passing. He was such a lovely man. My deep condolences go out to you Barbara, and Alan and the rest of the family. I hope that you find peace and comfort in each other and the love that others feel for you and for Bert.

I am deeply sorry to hear of Bert's passing. His kindness, charm and exuberance for life made a big impact on me as a young lawyer. He was always smiling when he was talking about his kids and was always curious about other people, their work and their lives. He will be missed and remembered.
