Mary Kay and Family
Our sincere condolences on the death of Hugh. It was truly a shock to be informed of his sudden death. Hugh was and outstanding solicitor and counsel to the MSSB/TCDSB and to me while I was employed by the Board. He will be missed as a gentleman and a friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.

Dearest Mary Kay & the Kelly family:
Our sincere condolences & deepest sympathy on the sudden loss of Hugh. It was a real shock for us who have known Hugh for some 50 years, both as a friend, a colleague & personal legal advisor.
He was a quiet humble Giant in his profession! Sadly we shall not see his like again.
Yet there should be some joy in celebrating a life well lived, of caring & giving to others, of deep humility, kindness and firmness in his Christian faith. He was in the biblical sense a "Gentle Man" & "a man without guile". Yet his Spirit lives on in you his family, as well as all those many friends, colleagues, principals & teachers whose lives he touched during his time here on earth. In the words of St. Paul, Hugh has fought the good fight, he has finished the race & now he has reaped his reward! Requiescat in Pace!
As you know we were out of the country when we heard the news of Hugh's passing. It is with regret that we were neither able to visit with you nor attend the Funeral. But hopefully we will have the opportunity to meet with you soon.
May God's "Amazing Grace" be with you all during the difficult days ahead. Love, Hugs & Blessings.
Theresa Ravanello-Wharton (former Chief Social Worker MSSB) & Paul R Wharton (former Asst. Director of Education MSSB).
