Dear Greg, Sheilagh and Jake, I am sorry for your loss. Hugh worked in my team as a summer intern and was always curious to learn new stuff. He was bright, smart and hard working. Hugh sat just opposite my office and I always saw him smiling. He had a great sense of humor. He really liked travelling. He was a friend and will be missed.

From the moment I met Hugh, I knew I was working with an exceptional young man. Bright, articulate, well-mannered, genuine and charming, Hugh had a calm, coolness about him that made being around him easy and enjoyable. Most obvious to me was his love for Jess and his family. Jess, Sheilagh, Greg, Tom and the rest of the Parker and Landolfi families, may your memories with Hugh provide you with comfort and strength during this sad time. Sending you my heartfelt condolences.
Sincerely,

To Tom, Jessica, and the rest of the Landolfi & Parker family members,
Sending our love and condolences to you during this extremely difficult time. While we never had the honour of being able to meet Hugh in person, through the words of others, we've come to understand how much of an incredible partner, son/son-in-law, and friend he was to so many people. As you continue to heal through this loss, please know that you are in our thoughts as we wish you comfort and peace for the days to come.

Sheilagh, Greg and Jake,
We can’t begin to understand what you are going through. All we can say is the obvious. Much, much too early. We are so happy Austin got to spend time with Hugh and he was so proud to be introduced to Hugh’s friends as cousin Austin. By all accounts a great group of friends who we hope can get through the mourning of the loss to us all. We certainly didn’t expect to lose a Knyvet so soon.
Hold tight to the memories of a wonderful young man in this trying time.

Dear Sheilagh & Greg, we only heard the tragic news just now. We cannot imagine what you and the rest of the family are going through. The taking of life prematurely is indeed so cruel. We did not have the good fortune of knowing Hugh, but are inspired by the beautiful obituary. He clearly lives on with joy in your hearts, the rest of his family and those of his dear friends. With much affection and sorrow. Kelly & Georges Soare

There's an old cabin in a Nova Scotia forest that will be forever Hugh's. Renamed by his great uncle Bob during a visit in 2003 as "Hughie's Riggin' Shack". This is a special family place. Take comfort in knowing that Hugh is now with Bob and Grandpa Jack, listening to their stories, although who is talking the most is anyone's guess (probably Jack). Our deepest condolences on the passing of this much loved young man.

To the Parker Family,
We had the awesome opportunity to meet Hugh at our Jessica's 30th birthday surprise party downtown. Hugh introduced himself and apologized for arriving in a suit, so sweet, he was arriving from work! Bob and I enjoyed chatting to Hugh & Jessica, we were so happy they could make it to the party! We also enjoyed hearing what a great time Jessica & Jamie had with Hugh & Jessica at Cathy & Jeff's cottage. Needless to say we were heart broken as many were to hear the tragic news. What ever it is that gets you through times like this, find comfort in having enjoyed Hugh for 26 great years. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. May Hugh R.I.P. God bless the entire family, our condolences, The Chandlers

My sincere condolences to you. You have all been in my thoughts since hearing this news. There are no words to ease your pain but please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I loved to babysit that little blonde haired boy who was always up to something mischievous. Seeing him run after David and Jake when I would come to pick David up after a play date! May fond memories ease some of your grief. Thinking of you.

There are no words to describe the type of person that Hugh was. A light when we all needed him. I owe Hugh my life for being my first friend in a new environment and his constant words of kindness and empathy when I wasn’t sure of myself. I’m incredibly sorry for your tragic loss. While I can’t imagine the way you're feeling please take some solace in knowing that Hugh touched all of us deeply and there is a large circle of people always here to support. Hugh will never be forgotten, May he Rest In Peace.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always. Hugh was one of the first people who truly embraced me as a new student during our two years together at Appleby College. We played soccer together, hung out during lunch and even discussed fashion on the occasion. He was always the life of the party, trying his best to always make everybody included & made sure we all had a good time. My only regret is we did not keep in touch properly post high school but I take solace in the fact that he kept touching peoples lives I remain true to himself.

We love and miss you Hugh.

My favourites were the mischievous ones. The one who would bounce the basketball one more time in the hall, who would look over their shoulder and smile at you as they were being led into the Director’s office, the one who would lock the babysitter out of the house. He will never be forgotten. And you’re right, on his next journey he will organizing, lighting up and gathering a crew.
He will never be forgotten. Thinking of you all. Nancy Joyce

Dear Sheilagh, Greg, Jake, Jessica and all loved ones,
I am beyond sorry to hear of Hugh’s passing. I am thinking of you all during this unbearable loss. The man described as caring, compassionate, fun, inclusive and the light of the room is exactly the way that I remember Hugh. I still can see him so vividly as an adorable little blond blonde boy, with lots of energy, running his way up the hallways of Fern Hill, or in Laurier green beaming beside his big brother. I also remember him as a young man, so positive and enthusiastic about playing, regardless of it being a final game in a tournament or just basketball out at recess. Hugh always had a giant (sometimes wonderfully mischievous) smile and was surrounded by friends.
I am thinking of you all and sending love.
Sincerely
Robin Grout Ogden
