IAN ROBERT BURGESS

(April 1, 1931 – July 26, 2025) Dr. Ian Robert Burgess passed away suddenly at Rockyview General Hospital on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the age of 94 years. Ian was born in Neepawa, MB, on April 1, 1931, to Fred and Norine (née Macdonald) Burgess. He was predeceased by his wife, Gwen; his brothers, Joe (Holly) and Don (Chris); and his parents. Ian is survived by and dearly missed by his daughter, Norine Burgess; and his son, David Burgess (Cheryl); as well as grandchildren, Sophie, Libby and Niki Schade, and Katie and Scott Burgess; as well as Ian's extended family and many friends and colleagues. The Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 23rd, at 4:00 p.m. at St. Laurence Anglican Church (5940 Lakeview Dr. SW), and will be livestreamed.
