IAN McDOUGALL Devoted family man, gourmet cook, globe trotter and incorrigible punster, Ian McDougall died unexpectedly August 24th, while travelling. Beloved husband of Karen Laurence, and cherished father of Amy and Claire McDougall, his wisdom, wit and empathy will be profoundly missed by all his family, friends and colleagues, most especially his wife and daughters, and sisters Jean McDougall and Mary McDougall Maude, as well as Phil Maude, Susan Longmire and Henri Fiks, Margaret, John and Robin Laurence, Anne (nee Laurence) and David Stobart, and their sons Mick, Liam and Robbie. Ian, an award-winning producer of film and television drama, spent his last days doing what he loved best: visiting new places and sharing exceptional meals in the company of dear friends. Funeral service will be held at the MOUNT PLEASANT CEMETERY VISITATION CENTRE, 375 Mount Pleasant Road, Toronto (north of St. Clair Ave. E., east gate entrance) on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at 2pm with visitation 1 hour prior to the service.
