Ilene MITCHELL

MITCHELL, ILENE (nee Hillman) 1923-2013
After a brief illness, with family at her side on Monday July 15, 2013. Predeceased by her parents Roy and Annie (McGuire) Hillman. Loving mother to Jenny (Don), Janice (Charles), Melanie (Trevor) and Kerry. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Jared and Jamie Hull, Colin and Ian Hickman, Ethan Mitchell and Clare Hopkins, and great-grandchildren Dylan, Josh, Paige, Aidan, Addison & Bronwyn. Ilene graduated from the Toronto General Hospital School of Nursing and treasured her friendships from the class of 1947. She touched many lives in a long and distinguished career as a Registered Nurse, and she lived her life with love, compassion and song. Her strength and good humor inspired all who knew her. At Ilene's request there will be no visitation or funeral service. There will be a private interment at a later date in Brampton, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The War Amps of Canada.
