INEZ GAWLER Obituary

(1947 – 2026) Inez Lillian Newbold Gawler passed away peacefully, on January 26, 2026, at the age of 78. Inez was a cherished wife to Ken for 50 years; a loving mother to Matthew and Rory; a beloved sister to Margaret; and a devoted grandmother to Lillian and William. She was also a loving mother-in-law to Joanne. A passionate lifelong educator with iconic style, Inez was a treasured friend to so many. A celebration of her life will be held on her birthday in May for family and friends.

Inez was one of the most patient, tolerant and respected of the Moms-whos-homes-we'd-overrun. Willing to listen, to advise, to call out bs. A part of my, of many of our, complete childhoods. Matt, Rory and especially Ken thank you for sharing her with us. I have so many fond memories, thank you.
