GREGORY, Isobel Barbara (Robertson)
of 310 Woodward Avenue died at The Saint John Regional Hospital on 14 September 1999. Widow of Keele S. Gregory, she was born in Longhope, Orkney, Scotland on 22 September 1923, daughter of Barbara Ann (Johnston) and John Robertson. She served in the Women's Auxiliary Air Force during the war, in the advanced field of radar defence. She came to Canada in 1956 and prior to retirement in New Brunswick, she spent her working years at the University of Toronto. She is survived by a step-daughter, Karen Gregory of Toronto, several cousins, nieces and a nephew in Scotland as well, and many good friends. By request of the family there will be no visiting at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday 17th September at the Church of St. John and St. Stephen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Royal National Lifeboat Institute, Hopetoun Street, Edinburgh, Scotland, EH7 4NP or to a charity of the donor's choice.
