It is with great sadness the family announce the passing of Charles Ivan, at Princess Margaret Hospital, on Sunday, April 29, 2007, at the age of 67. Generous in deed and spirit, 'Chas' is fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched. His journey in this life has enriched and energised all of us. Beloved son of Lena 'Bubi' Ivan. Together with Mary, loving parents of Michael, Marc, Lisa, Mary-Liz and her husband Rankin Carroll. Cherished grandpa of Samantha, Sloan, and Lauren. Charlie will be lovingly remembered by Lorraine Roban. Predeceased by his sister Madeline. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas Street West, Etobicoke (between Islington and Kipling Avenues), from 2-9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1, 2007. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 3055 Bloor Street West (west of Royal York Road), on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at 10 a.m. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative PACERS, c/o Palliative Care Unit, 16th Floor, Princess Margaret Hospital.
