Ivan Albert Mozer, BAS UBC '61, PEng., born June 8, 1934, in Dobrovnik, Slovenia, passed away peacefully, May 2, 2025, at Bridgepoint Active Healthcare, Toronto. Loving husband of 53 years to the late Lorna (McDougall). He is survived by his sons, Francis, Steven and Samuel, as well as his wonderful grandchildren, Severn, Kieran, and Claire (with whom he could never get enough time); and Sue Magor, his companion in his last years. He is also remembered fondly by his niece, Vlasta; and nephew, Andre in Slovenia. A polyglot, speaking seven languages, and an engineer, Ivan lived his dream of travelling the world, living in Labrador, Peru, Germany, Montreal, Venezuela, Mexico, and advising government agencies and companies on mining and metallurgical projects. Wherever he went, Ivan got things done and always managed to find the best restaurants. Thank you to the caring and professional staff at Bridgepoint in his final moments.. A service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 24th, at Christ Church Deer Park, Toronto. Donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made to Bridgepoint Active Healthcare in Toronto.
