Ivar KVEPS Obituary

(JANUARY 10, 1937 TO OCTOBER 23, 2008) IVAR KVEPS Ivar Kveps spent the summer touring his home country of Latvia, waterskiing on Lake Koocanusa with his kids and grandkids, fishing in the Yukon with friend Wally. After 71 years of living every minute of his life to the fullest, Ivar came home to Calgary to fight his final battle, with cancer. In the same manner that Ivar supported his beloved wife Sandra in her final journey five years ago, our father passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 23, 2008, surrounded by his family. He leaves behind a legacy of honour, family values, and integrity embodied and carried on in his children Andy, Laurie, Eric, Bob, Kathy, Brenda and his grandchildren Kelly, Julie, Hunter, Kara, Quinn and Alex. He will be greatly missed by his sister Skaidrite, and his good friend and brotherin-law Tony. He will also be missed by his buddies Wally, Dave and Les. He is also missed by Bunny and Ken of Ontario as well as members of his extended family throughout Canada and abroad. There will be a celebration of his life at Big Rock Grill, 5555 - 76 Ave SE, Calgary at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 28, 2008. In lieu of flowers memorial tributes may be made to Ducks Unlimited, Membership Services, PO Box 1160, Stonewall, MB, R0C 2Z0 or the Alberta Cancer Foundation, C/o Tom Baker Cancer Center, 1331 - 29 Street NW, Calgary, AB, T2N 4N2.
