August 3, 1967 June 18, 2025 Jacqueline Barbara Cornwall passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by loved ones, on June 18, 2025, at 3:07 a.m. She was the beloved daughter of Pansy Jacquie Clough and Altamont Crooks, both of St. Elizabeth Parish, Jamaica. Jacqueline is survived by her cherished son, Lawrence Edward Cornwall; and her sisters, Natasha Clough and Laura Martin. Her precious spirit and welcoming grace endeared her to countless friends far and wide - in her hometown of Toronto and beyond. She will be missed by us all terribly. Jacqueline will be forever remembered for her vibrant laughter and independent spirit. In the lives of those she loved, she was an indomitable force for good, inspiring us all with her sense of joy and compassion, and her passion for justice and fairness in this world. She was an incredible mother who passed these values on to her son, who, as a result, has grown into a truly remarkable young man. An original thinker who openly challenged convention, Jacqueline always marched to the beat of her own drum, and encouraged this value in others. She possessed a particular sensitivity toward others who are marginalized, and her unconditional love and acceptance were like beacons of light in a world that was sometimes - otherwise - far too dim. She took great comfort in her faith, and lived her values every day. Jacqueline's warmth and authenticity made everyone around her feel comfortable and truly seen. Her presence was truly a gift - she gave everyone permission to be their true selves. In Jacqueline's memory, donations may be made to the St. John Compassionate Mission at
www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/st-john-the-compassionate-mission. Jacqueline's light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her. She changed our lives, and for the better. Rest in peace, dear, unforgettable Jacqueline. You are loved and will be missed always.
