DR. JACQUELINE HELEN PERRY As a result of a bear attack in Northern Ontario, it is with profound sadness the family announces the untimely death of their daughter, Jacqueline, on Tuesday, September 6, 2005, in her 31st year; beloved wife of Mark Jordan; loving daughter of Ralph and Brenda Perry; cherished sister of Joelle and her husband Jim Daniels; special aunt of Megan and Rachel; daughter-in-law of Alan and Rosalind Jordan. Jacqueline graduated from the Brantford Collegiate Institute in 1994 as an Ontario Scholar. As a recipient of a Canada Scholarship and a McMaster University entrance scholarship she enrolled in the four year Honours Science Program at McMaster. It was there where she first met the love of her life Mark Jordan. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science - Biology degree (with distinction) in 1997 and entered the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine M.D. Program. Following her graduation as a Doctor of Medicine, Jacqueline and Mark were married amidst nature in the Haliburton Highlands September 2001. Her love for the medical profession prompted her to take an additional year of training to earn her certificate as a doctor in emergency medicine, in addition to family practice. Most recently, Jacqueline was conducting her family medicine profession at the Grandview Medical Centre in Cambridge, as well as performing emergency room physician duties at the Brantford General Hospital. Jacqueline's concern for humanity and her love of the outdoors will never be forgotten. Her spare moments were occupied with many acts of volunteerism, particularly with Habitat for Humanity, which included a house build project in Costa Rica for underprivileged families. With her beloved Mark, Jacqueline pursued their passions for scouting, camping, kayaking, canoeing and mountain biking. Jacqueline tackled all her activities with boundless energy and focus, whether it was her studies, her career or her pastimes. Nothing short of doing her absolute best would satisfy her. Friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. Service in the chapel on Tuesday at 11 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Habitat for Humanity Brant would be greatly appreciated.
