JACQUELINE STUBBS Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jacqueline Stubbs, in her 87th year, on August 22, 2025. Jacqueline died peacefully, in her home of 51 years, as was her wish. Jacqueline was a truly remarkable person and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be remembered for her quick wit, dry humour and love of sweets. Jacqueline leaves her husband, Donald, with whom she was set to celebrate 69 years of marriage on September 8th; their two daughters, Dawn Fell (Mark) and Lesley Logan (Jim); and five grandchildren, Adam, James, Morgan; Ben, and Andrew. Jacqueline was born in Toronto in 1938 to Isabelle and Victor Evans. She attended school in Toronto and married Donald in 1956. She pursued a career in public service, holding increasingly senior roles in the Ontario government until her retirement in 1993. She thoroughly enjoyed retirement, which allowed her to spend time travelling with Donald and with her grandchildren who adored her. Visitation will be held at the Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Ave. W. (two stoplights west of Yonge St.), on Wednesday, August 27th, from 4 – 6 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, August 28th, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception. Interment, Mount Hope Cemetery.
