Kim Tanner

My grandparents (Ed & Lil Tanner) became friends with Jim and Val. And then so did our family (Bryce & Anne Tanner, Kim & Greg). we had many family gatherings as we lived a block away in Toronto for a few years. Remember the skating rink well, with the tree in the middle of it. Bryce and Jim got together regularly in Toronto in their later years to play music and chat. We have many fond memories. Our condolences to the family. Kim

I remember Jim from our days with The Monarchist League of Canada.
He was willing to "pitch" in when ever he could.
He was also a super supporter of the Scouting movement.
He will be missed.

Francesca and I knew Jim through his association with the Richmond Hill Centennial Pipe. He was a quiet and caring person. At the same time he was strong in his beliefs and we respected Jim for all his qualities. We are sorry to learn of his passing.

I met Jim in a Baptist church in Toronto when I first came to Canada in 1993. We become very good friends and he took me camping with him. We had very good time together and I was with him in Richmond Hill band where I was playing drums with him. We shared the same love for the Queen of England. I was invited by Jim and Valerie many times for meals. I felt like he was a father to me here in Canada. Rest in peace Jim I really miss your chats and advice and I wish we kept in touch after I left Toronto. God bless you in Haven.
