BATEMAN, James EnnisM.D., F.R.C.S.(C), O.S.J. Diplomat of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Associate Professor of Surgery (Emeritus) University of Toronto, Co-founder and Surgeon-in-Chief (Emeritus) of the Orthopaedic and Arthritic Hospital.
Peacefully at Toronto on February 1, 1999, after a brief illness. Predeceased by his wife Dr. Beverly (Bob) Bateman. Sadly missed by his sons Bill (Margaret), Jamie (Libby) and Jeffrey, his grandchildren Beverley, David, Ian and Alexandra, his brother Dr. William Bateman (Nell), their children William and Ellen and their families, devoted friend Laura Lavender, and sister-in-law June Bushell and devoted life-long confidant and friend, Carolyn Wojcik. Friends may call at the MORLEY BEDFORD FUNERAL HOME, 159 Eglinton Ave. West, (at Lascelles Blvd.) on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at TIMOTHY EATON MEMORIAL CHURCH, 230 St. Clair Ave. West on Friday, February 5th at 1 p.m.
