This tribute is terribly late, but certainly heartfelt.
I knew Jim through John Stockwell, as a neighbour in Leaside, and later as a British history student at The University of Toronto.
He was as nice a man as I ever knew; always smiling, never unpleasant, with a wonderful, keen sense of humour. He was also a sharp observer of the important things in life, and I regret that we had only one contact after university.
I also regret that Jim didn't receive more than 58 years. The world desperately needs more people like him today.
