James CAMERON Obituary
Passed away peacefully, on March 29, 2024, at Credit Valley Hospital, at the age of 76, after a recent battle with pneumonia. Predeceased by his parents, William Walter Cameron and Wilda Cameron (nee Cochrane); devoted husband to the late Suzan Kay Cameron (nee Hudlow). Loving father to David Cameron (Eric, predeceased), Blair Cameron (Heather), and Jennifer Neville (Ian). Adored Papa to Emily Cameron, Kaitlin Cameron, and Cameron Neville. An older brother to Dougal (predeceased), Charlie (Diane), Jeanie (Rob), and Robert. Devoted uncle to Melanie, Michelle, Erin, Heather, and Caroline. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and beloved companion, Barbara. A friend to everyone who met him, Jim is fondly remembered for his generous spirit and positive attitude. He was smart and talented - not to mention an exceptional card player and accomplished fisherman. He also had a terrific sense of humour, so the family home on Willingdon Boulevard was always filled with laughter. Jim was a talented businessman who started his career as a CA in public accounting before becoming partner in an ever-merging firm now known as KMPG, before pursuing a second career devoted to auto dealerships and real estate. Jim had a passion for gardening and keeping the planters in perpetual bloom at the cottage over the years (perhaps a stoic way to honour loved ones who left us too soon). Dad's cherished three-year-old mixed border collie, Buddy, will also miss following his every movement and lying beside him. Thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Credit Valley Hospital for your kindness and support. A Celebration of Life is to be held at the Boulevard Club in Toronto on Sunday, April 28, 2024, between the hours of 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
